Bank of Italy discusses protections for business current-account access

Bank of Italy official Magda Bianco discussed financial inclusion and possible protections for non-consumer customers entitled to hold a current account during a Senate Finance Committee hearing, according to AGSI president Pasquale Chiacchio. Chiacchio cited 280 complaints about difficulties opening current accounts between 2019 and 2025 and said AGSI is asking licensed gambling operators to submit account refusals or closures for its evidence-gathering initiative.
