Regulation

The WODC announced two externally conducted gambling studies for the Netherlands in 2026, according to its 2025 annual report. They will examine public views on gambling and participation in online and land-based gambling, building on measurements from 2024 and 2025; the participation study will include a separate module for the Caribbean Netherlands.

The studies will provide updated evidence on gambling participation, risk behaviour and public views for Dutch policy discussions.
