Dutch gambling trade association VNLOK is seeking a director after combining with NOGA, which ceased to exist on 12 December 2025. VNLOK said the role will separate its operational leadership from chair Björn Fuchs, who will remain in post and support the new director.
The appointment will give VNLOK a dedicated operational lead for its policy and stakeholder work.

Dutch gambling trade association VNLOK has summoned Meta to court, alleging that Facebook and Instagram distributed illegal gambling advertisements targeting consumers in the Netherlands. VNLOK says Meta removed 15% of illegal advertisements in June and is asking the court to require compliance with the Digital Services Act and stronger safeguards.
Dutch gambling association VNLOK has taken legal action against Meta and complained to the European Commission over online gambling advertisements targeting users in the Netherlands. VNLOK said Meta platforms carried more than 70,000 gambling-related ads in Q4 2025, with over 95% placed by unlicensed operators; the KSA has also reported thousands of complaints to Meta each month in 2025.
Dutch online gambling association VNLOK said it plans to take Meta to court over adverts for unlicensed gambling appearing on its platforms in the Netherlands. VNLOK said Meta had removed only 5% of illegal gambling adverts and added that it had contacted the European Commission.
VNLOK presented its Responsible Play Monitor in the Netherlands, reporting 1.8 million interventions by its 12 member operators during 2025. The group said those operators represented about three-quarters of the legal online gambling market; the Kansspelautoriteit’s Ella Seijsener urged providers to monitor non-financial indicators as well as losses.
Dutch online gambling trade group VNLOK presented its first responsible-gambling monitor in The Hague, reporting on member operators’ 2025 activity. It said operators sent more than 1.2 million personalised messages and pop-ups, supported players with setting or reducing limits in more than 21,000 cases, and referred 10,847 players to specialist services.
