Virginia lawmakers urge Spanberger to veto Fairfax casino bill
Northern Virginia lawmakers and the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors urged Gov. Abigail Spanberger to veto Senate Bill 756, which concerns a potential casino in Tysons, Virginia. If signed, the bill would allow the county to begin a bidding process and later put the proposal to voters; it would not itself approve a casino. Spanberger's decision was due by 13 April, the report said.
A veto or approval will determine whether Fairfax County can start a casino bidding process and pursue a referendum.
