Valencia plans Ruzafa venue-hour limits and licence freeze under acoustic-zone proposal

Regulation

Valencia city plans to adopt a measure for Ruzafa’s acoustically saturated zone, reportedly following a court ruling. The proposal would set closing times for leisure venues, including gaming halls and bingo venues, at 03:30 from Sunday to Thursday and 04:30 at weekends and before public holidays, and freeze new opening or expansion licences in the affected area. Business groups oppose the restrictions, citing potential economic effects.

Gaming and bingo venues in Ruzafa could face earlier closing times and frozen expansion licences.
