Valencia outlines options to retain type B gaming-machine authorisations

Regulation

Hospitality venues in the Valencian Community can use several routes to retain type B gaming-machine installation authorisations as the five-year inactivity limit approaches, according to a report on the rules. Options include replacing a machine, transferring the authorisation, renewing it or seeking a temporary suspension in qualifying circumstances. Decree 77/2026 also restricts new authorisations for venues that did not previously hold one.

Venues and operators must track authorisation and inactivity periods because losing an authorisation may prevent a future application.
