Uzbekistan Competition Committee monitors illegal online gambling advertisements

Regulation

Uzbekistan’s Competition Committee said it is monitoring social media for suspected gambling-advertising violations ahead of the 2026 World Cup. Authorities said Article 46 of the country’s advertising law prohibits gambling campaigns and that people involved in developing, publishing or promoting them may face prosecution; suspicions will be referred for further investigation.

The warning puts advertisers and platforms on notice that distributing gambling promotions may trigger investigation under Uzbekistan’s advertising law.
