US betting operators phase out credit-card deposits as analysts see limited impact

Regulation

US betting operators including DraftKings, FanDuel and BetMGM have restricted or are phasing out credit-card deposits, while some states have enacted or considered bans. Analysts Jordan Bender and Sam Ghafir said the effect on operators’ income was expected to be limited; Flutter Entertainment also reported no material impact after removing the option. FanDuel said its US ban took effect on 2 March 2026.

Operators assessing payment policies can weigh reported earnings effects against state-level restrictions.
