Colorado bans sportsbook push alerts and credit-card deposits

Regulation

Colorado Governor Jared Polis signed Senate Bill 26-131, which restricts sportsbook marketing and betting-account funding, the report said. The law prohibits solicitations through push notifications and text messages, credit-card deposits and promotional phrases, caps deposits at six per 24 hours, and takes effect on 12 August.

Operators must adjust customer messaging, payment options, deposit controls and marketing practices before the law takes effect.
