UNLV research estimates Nevada cannabis access barriers cost businesses $750m yearly
A study presented by Robin Goldstein at a Las Vegas gaming and cannabis policy discussion estimated that limits on cannabis access for casino visitors cost Nevada retail and wholesale businesses about $750m annually. Goldstein said the barriers include a 1,500-foot separation requirement and restrictions on delivery, ownership and business relationships; the research estimated $80m in annual state tax revenue losses.
The study’s estimates concern Nevada rules affecting the overlap between casino tourism and licensed cannabis businesses.
