Underdog stops taking North Carolina sports bets on 16 December

Licences & markets

Underdog will stop accepting sports bets in North Carolina on 16 December, the North Carolina State Lottery Commission said. The company aims to settle outstanding wagers by 18 December, while customers can withdraw funds during and after the closure. The state reported $814.0m in November wagers and $16.7m in sports betting tax revenue.

Underdog’s exit removes a sportsbook from the state market and leaves the commission addressing any unresolved player issues.
