Regulation · SectorWire deskSource published 1 min readUpdated Published

In brief
  • ULIS recorded 305 suspicious betting alerts in Q3 2026, according to data it published.
  • 51.5% of alerts involved lower-level and youth competitions, up from 41.7% in Q2, a rise of 9.8 percentage points.
  • 44 alerts came from state competitions in India and youth tournaments in China and Myanmar.

ULIS recorded 305 suspicious betting alerts in the third quarter of 2026, the organisation said in data published on 26 October. Of those alerts, 51.5% concerned lower-level and youth competitions, up from 41.7% in the second quarter, a rise of 9.8 percentage points.

ULIS is the United Lotteries for Integrity in Sports, an international organisation that monitors sports integrity. It said the competitions concerned can be more exposed to attempts to alter results because of limited media coverage, generally lower pay for athletes and integrity prevention and control systems that are still being developed.

On the geographic distribution of the alerts, ULIS said 44 of the 305 came from state competitions in India and from youth tournaments held in China and Myanmar.

ULIS said monitoring the main professional competitions is no longer sufficient to counter match fixing, and that protecting sports integrity requires more attention to lower-tier leagues and youth events, where economic and organisational conditions can favour those seeking to manipulate matches. The 305 alerts concern betting activity considered suspicious under monitoring systems and are indicators of possible irregularities that require further examination, according to ULIS.
