Ukrainian gaming association opposes proposed military online casino ban
Alexander Kogut, president of the Association of Ukrainian Gaming Operators, urged Kyiv to reject calls to bar military personnel from online casinos, according to the report. He cited a Kantar survey that found soldiers spent almost 15% more on gambling platforms than non-military civilians on average. PlayCity head Gennady Novikov said a ban without action against illegal sites could push activity underground.
A proposed restriction could affect licensed online casino operators and shift some military gambling to illegal sites, officials said.
