UKGC defends proposed financial risk assessments for gambling customers
The UK Gambling Commission defended its proposed financial risk assessments in an update attributed to Helen Rhodes, its director of major policy projects and evaluation. The Commission said fewer than 3% of active accounts would probably trigger an assessment and about 97% of those would be handled without customer action. It plans to issue further guidance for operators.
The proposal could require operators to identify financial risk among a small share of customers and prepare for further guidance.
