UK Gambling Commission suspends Targetlocal's remote betting licence

Enforcement & compliance

The UK Gambling Commission suspended Targetlocal Ltd's remote operating licence after an inquiry found anti-money laundering failings, the regulator said. The suspension took immediate effect while the Commission reviews the licence and will remain until it is satisfied the business complies. Targetlocal, which trades as Ken Howell's Sports Betting, told customers it was working to resolve the matter; customers can still access accounts and withdraw funds, and its non-remote betting licence is unaffected.

Operators should note the immediate remote-licence suspension, while customers retain account access and withdrawals and the non-remote licence remains unaffected.
