UK Gambling Commission suspends BresBet and Bet St George licences

Enforcement & compliance

The UK Gambling Commission suspended the operating licences of BresBet Ltd and Bet St George Ltd on 28 August 2026, the regulator said. It cited suspected weaknesses in social responsibility and anti-money-laundering controls and opened reviews under section 116 of the Gambling Act 2005. The suspensions remain in place until the companies meet regulatory requirements, but customers can access accounts and withdraw available funds.

The suspensions prevent both operators from relying on their licences until the regulator considers them compliant.
