UK Gambling Commission sets July deadline for removing non-compliant gaming machines
The UK Gambling Commission said non-remote operators must remove gaming machines from 29 July 2026 if told the machines lack the required technical operating licence or fail technical standards. The Commission also cited £26m in government funding over three years to strengthen action against illegal gambling, particularly at land-based venues. It reported bingo gross gambling yield of £816m in 2024/25.
Operators may need to remove machines promptly when notified of licensing or technical-standard failures.
