UK Gambling Commission seeks operator proposals to simplify gambling rules

Regulation

The UK Gambling Commission invited gambling operators to suggest ways to simplify regulation under its 2026/27 business plan. It said submissions, covering areas such as licence conditions, technical standards and reporting, are due by the end of September; the proposals must preserve consumer protections and the objectives of the Gambling Act 2005.

Operators can propose changes to compliance requirements while the Commission retains consumer-protection objectives.
