UIF reports gaming generated 1.2% of cash-operation notices in H1 2026
Italy’s Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF) reported that lotteries, betting and other gambling accounted for 1.2% of objective notices concerning cash transactions in the first half of 2026. The share was up from 0.9% in the second half of 2025; UIF recorded no inspections or desk-based checks of gaming service providers during the period.
The rising share of cash-operation notices and absence of UIF checks provide providers with regulatory context.
