Turkish prosecutors allege betting scheme caused TRY12m in losses
Four people were jailed pending trial in Turkey over an alleged scheme that prosecutors say used a seven-second delay in live sports data to place bets after outcomes were known. Prosecutors put losses to data provider Spordata and the licensed sportsbooks it served at around TRY12m; the allegations concern tennis and volleyball matches, among others.
The case concerns alleged manipulation of live data used by Spordata and the licensed sportsbooks relying on its service.
