Tennessee’s sports betting handle reached $5.87bn in 2025, a 10.6% increase from $5.30bn in 2024, according to a market report. It said the state’s lifetime handle exceeded $20.4bn by the end of 2025; the report also described Tennessee as having no regulated online slots, table games or peer-to-peer poker.
The reported handle and growth figures give operators and investors a measure of Tennessee’s sports betting market.

Iowa’s licensed sports betting operators recorded $185.4m in handle in June, reportedly, up 10% year on year. Online betting drove the increase, according to the report.
Ohio’s regulated sports betting market recorded $800.1m in handle in April, reportedly. The figure was down 1% from the comparison period, while revenue grew.
US legal sports betting handle totalled $167bn in FY 2025, citing July data from the American Gaming Association. Gross revenue increased 23% from the previous year.
Tennessee sports betting generated $484.6 million in April, up 4% year on year, according to reported figures. The total was the state’s highest April figure since its market launch.
The US Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled for Ohio and Tennessee in consolidated cases concerning Kalshi’s sports event contracts, according to the report. The unanimous decision found Kalshi had not shown that the contracts qualified as swaps under federal law and said the Commodity Exchange Act would not override state gambling laws even if they did.
