Temanggung removes 899 residents from welfare benefits over gambling indicators
Temanggung Regency officials in Indonesia said 899 residents had been removed from Direct Cash Assistance after PPATK identified indicators of online gambling activity in their accounts. The changes take effect at the end of the year, and recipients may appeal to the Ministry of Social Affairs, which alone can overturn the decisions.
The removals affect welfare recipients and set out an appeal route for people identified through gambling-related account checks.
