Spotlight Sports Group appointed Adam Gill as chief technology officer, with Gill joining the company on 2 June from market research company Savanta. He will lead technology and engineering across the group, including its AI adoption programme, the company said.

Clever Advertising has agreed to acquire the Pickswise sports betting picks brand from Spotlight Sports Group for an undisclosed sum. The announcement said Pickswise will keep its name, website, apps and social channels, while Clever Advertising plans to invest in the brand and expand its US reach.

Reportedly, Allwyn has appointed former Betsson Group CTO Fredrik Ögren as Group Chief Technology Officer, based in Switzerland. Ögren will work with Allwyn Digital CEO Kresimir Spajic across markets including the UK, Greece, Austria and the US, succeeding interim Group CTO Brett Cross.
