Sportradar attributes slower US in-play betting growth to market maturity

Deals & M&A

Sportradar product vice-president Erich Zach said the US is at an early stage of in-play sports betting adoption and that slower growth reflects market maturity. The company cited research showing 31% of NFL bettors prioritise live betting, while 17% place in-play wagers; New York and New Jersey are considering proposals to ban in-play or micro-betting.

Operators and suppliers face legislative scrutiny while assessing demand for in-play betting products in the US.
