Prediction-market platforms were trading contracts on control of the US House and Senate during the 3 November midterm elections, according to the report. It cited Kalshi and Polymarket prices at 10:32 a.m. ET and said no results had been reported by then. The report also described third-quarter figures from Robinhood, including $173 million in event-contract revenue and 16.4 billion contracts traded.
The NBA announced agreements with Kalshi and Polymarket to establish safeguards for NBA-related prediction markets in the United States. The league also signed a memorandum of understanding with the CFTC and expanded its DraftKings agreement to cover prediction markets and nationwide promotion; the arrangements exclude the WNBA.
The National Basketball Association unveiled a set of agreements on Monday aimed at creating a broad framework for prediction markets tied to its games. That framework includes a memorandum of understanding with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Kalshi and Polymarket were named by the league as its preferred exchanges for such markets. The WNBA is not covered by the arrangement.
JPMorgan Chase began covering Genius Sports with an Overweight rating and a USD8 share price target. Analysts estimated that agreements with Kalshi and Polymarket could eventually contribute up to USD35m in additional EBITDA.
It was reported that Genius Sports entered prediction markets through agreements with Polymarket and Kalshi. The move follows similar multi-year partnerships announced by Sportradar.
Sportradar said on its Q2 earnings call that US regulatory ambiguity and slower contract closures will defer substantial financial benefits from its prediction-market partnerships to 2027 and beyond. The company signed multi-year data deals with Kalshi in June and with Polymarket on Monday. Prediction-market revenue is expected to reach tens of millions in 2026.
