Spielbank Berlin opens applications for eight-week croupier roulette course

Spielbank Berlin is recruiting trainee croupiers for a full-time roulette module, with the course starting on 1 February 2027, according to a Spielbank Berlin notice. Applications are open from 23 October to 11 December 2026, and applications received after 11 December 2026 cannot be considered.

The in-house course runs for eight weeks and covers the basic rules and procedures of roulette, calculating winnings and correct payouts, and communication at the table. Previous roulette experience is not required, and the notice says the course is open to career changers without prior casino experience. After completing the roulette module, participants learn further games step by step, including blackjack and poker.

The notice lists requirements including a completed vocational qualification, quick comprehension and manual dexterity, a neat appearance and good manners, and willingness to work nights, shifts, weekends and public holidays. It also asks for a secure and polished command of German, with further language skills desirable. A simple certificate of conduct is a mandatory condition for concluding the contract.

Spielbank Berlin says the role carries a 37-hour full-time week with paid breaks, pay under a company collective agreement with supplements for weekend and night work, holiday and Christmas pay, and eight weeks of holiday entitlement. The notice also cites development opportunities within the company, an option for permanent employment after two years, and corporate benefits including an Edenred voucher card with a monthly tax-free top-up of up to €50. Applications from recognised severely disabled people or those of equivalent status are welcomed.

As a croupier, the notice says, the employee is responsible for the correct course of play and for winnings paid to guests in line with the rules of the game. Applicants are asked to send a complete application exclusively to the email address given in the notice.
