Spanish People’s Party proposes youth gambling addiction measures
Spain’s People’s Party parliamentary group has proposed measures to prevent and treat gambling addiction among people aged 14 to 18. It cited figures showing 24.4% of students in that age group gambled in 2025, compared with 21.5% in 2023. The proposal is due to be debated by the Joint Commission for the Study of Addiction Problems.
The proposal could shape Spain’s next national addictions strategy and action plan for underage gambling.
