Spain’s tax agency sets online gambling declaration thresholds for 2025 returns

Regulation

Spain’s tax agency says online gambling gains must be declared as personal income, with tax rates ranging from 19% to 47%. Taxpayers with employment income above €22,000 must report any gambling gains, while those whose only income is gambling must declare when net gains exceed €1,600; licensed platforms must report information to the agency.

Taxpayers must report gambling gains under the stated thresholds, and licensed platforms must provide information to Spain’s tax agency.
