SEC proposes semi-annual reporting option for public companies
Regulation · SectorWire deskSource published
Summary
The US Securities and Exchange Commission has proposed allowing publicly traded companies to report semi-annually instead of quarterly. The proposal would replace the three quarterly Form 10-Q filings with one half-year report on a new Form 10-S, with a public comment period running through 6 July. The agency said the change aims to give companies more flexibility over interim reporting frequency.
Why it matters
Gaming operators and suppliers could face less quarterly pressure on share prices, with possible effects on US listings and IPOs.
