SBC Events has announced a multi-year partnership with CasinoNieuws, a Dutch gambling information platform, ahead of SBC Summit Europe 2027, which will be held at RAI Amsterdam from 19 to 21 April 2027. Under the agreement, CasinoNieuws becomes the event's exclusive media partner for the Netherlands, the company said.

CasinoNieuws will work with SBC's conference team on the programme for the Dutch market, helping to select topics, sessions and speakers. The sessions will cover taxation, advertising restrictions, player protection, channelling demand towards legal operators and enforcement against illegal gambling, placed in a wider European context.

CasinoNieuws was founded in 2020 and has reported on the Dutch market from the introduction of the regulated online gambling system in October 2021 through to current regulatory and commercial challenges for licensed operators. The platform was founded by Frank Op de Woerd and Jan de Mol and is run by JAF Media B.V.

Rasmus Sojmark, chief executive and founder of SBC, said the ambition is to make SBC Summit Europe the annual meeting point for the European regulated gambling industry, and that building relations with the Dutch market is an important part of that. He said the Netherlands is one of Europe's more interesting regulated markets, with experience in taxation, player protection, channelling and the commercial sustainability of licensed operators, and that CasinoNieuws has developed deep knowledge of the Dutch industry.

Frank Op de Woerd, chief executive and editor-in-chief of CasinoNieuws, said hosting an event of international relevance in Amsterdam is an opportunity for the Dutch gambling industry, which he said has undergone major changes in a few years. He said SBC has experience in bringing the global gambling industry together and that the partnership lets CasinoNieuws highlight the Dutch sector's experience while bringing new ideas and perspectives to its readers.

The CasinoNieuws agreement follows SBC's recent partnership with VNLOK, the association representing licensed online gambling operators in the Netherlands, which is intended to strengthen the participation and representation of Dutch licensed operators at the summit. SBC has also signed a three-year strategic partnership with the International Association of Gaming Regulators and the International Masters of Gaming Law.

The SBC Leaders Regulatory Forum will be held on the opening day, 19 April 2027, for invited guests, bringing together regulators, policymakers and industry executives. A conference track on European regulation will examine legislative developments and challenges in licensed gambling markets.

Organisers expect more than 8,000 attendees, including more than 3,000 representatives of licensed operators, along with 250 exhibitors and sponsors and 250 speakers. Across the two exhibition days, attendees will have access to four conference stages and specialist forums on topics including lottery innovation, player protection, sports integrity, payments and blockchain.

Tickets for SBC Summit Europe will go on sale soon, according to the organisers. Interested parties can register their interest through the organisation's official channels, and companies wishing to exhibit or sponsor can contact SBC's commercial team.
