Roraima prosecutors charge 10 people over alleged illegal gambling scheme
Roraima’s Public Prosecutor’s Office filed charges on 4 September 2026 against nine influencers and one businessperson over an alleged scheme promoting clandestine gambling platforms. Prosecutors said the group received R$67.5 million over about two years and sought compensation for three identified victims; the defendants face several alleged offences, including illegal gambling and money laundering.
The case puts alleged promotion of illegal gambling platforms and related financial activity before the courts.
