Rondônia enacts state lottery framework for physical and online operations

Governor Marcos Rocha sanctioned Complementary Law No. 1,336/2026, establishing a state lottery framework in Rondônia, according to the report. The law assigns oversight and management to Agero and allows operations through state management or concessions awarded by public bids, including physical and online channels.

Suppliers can assess routes into Rondônia’s lottery market through state operations or public-bid concessions.

Minas Gerais bans betting ads on state property and orders lottery contract termination

Minas Gerais governor Mateus Simões signed a decree on 20 August banning betting advertising and promotions on state property, according to the report. The measure also directs Loteria Mineira to terminate its sports betting contract and requires public-space concessionaires to end betting-company agreements. The government says the state loses more than R$600 million annually in ICMS revenue because of distortions linked to betting.
