Rondônia creates state lottery service and allows private concessions

Regulation

Rondônia governor Marcos José Rocha dos Santos sanctioned Complementary Law 1,336 on 7 May, establishing a state lottery service and permitting direct operation or private concessions across the state. Private operation requires a public tender, while the executive is to set rules for lottery modalities and operating criteria.

Private lottery operators must win a public tender and meet rules overseen by Agero, defining the route into Rondônia’s market.
