Resorts World New York City began offering live table games at its Queens venue, according to the report. The renovated third floor has about 200 tables, including blackjack, baccarat, roulette and craps. The expansion follows the award of one of New York’s three downstate casino licences in December.
The opening adds live table games to the venue’s existing electronic gaming offer under its downstate casino licence.

A California court ruled that the Bureau of Gambling Control exceeded its authority with regulations targeting cardroom table games, according to the California Gaming Association. The association said the rules would have barred or restricted games operated by licensed cardrooms across the state.
New York’s three full casino licensees could generate up to $5.6 billion in annual gaming revenue, according to the report’s account of CBRE Institutional Research analysis. The analysis estimates first-year gross gaming revenue of $4.7 billion once the venues are fully operational and projects completion by 2031.
US casino operators are allocating more space and investment to non-gaming attractions as younger gamblers favour online betting. Citing Propmodo, the report said PENN Entertainment spent $360m renovating its Aurora property. A planned Hard Rock casino in Queens would allocate 10% of its footprint to gaming.
Four upstate New York casinos generated $62 million in gross gaming revenue in March, reportedly up 1.8% year on year. Rivers Casino & Resort led with $20.3 million, while Del Lago Resort & Casino recorded $16 million; the report also described planned downstate casino projects, with opening targets extending to 2030.
The Illinois Gaming Board voted on 23 April to renew Hard Rock Casino Rockford’s operating licence for four years, retroactive to January 2026. The board’s administrator also reminded casino, video gaming and sports wagering licensees of their responsibilities under updated advertising and marketing rules.
