Rank Group reports 5% quarterly revenue growth and warns of UK duty risks

Results

Rank Group reported like-for-like net gaming revenue of £216.1 million for the first quarter of its 2026/27 financial year, up 5%, and said digital revenue increased 6%. The company said full-year like-for-like operating profit should meet market expectations if the UK tax regime remains unchanged. Chief executive Richard Harris warned a potential Machine Games Duty increase could make venues less viable and lead to closures and job losses.

Operators and investors should monitor gaming-duty changes because Rank warns higher costs could make venues unviable and cost jobs.
