Pythia Sports joins NYCE marketplace with horse and greyhound racing offer

Deals & M&A · SectorWire deskSource published 2 min read

Pythia Sports has joined the NYCE Product Marketplace as a certified supplier, the company announced in London on 22 October 2026. The move gives sportsbook operators access to Pythia's managed trading, pricing and risk-management service for horse and greyhound racing through a single technical integration and a single commercial agreement, according to the announcement. The product was developed and is distributed with Racing1 Markets.

NYCE International is a London-listed B2B company active in marketplaces and consulting for gaming. It connects operators with specialist suppliers and provides commercial support, helping partners identify potential clients, present commercial solutions, position products and handle regional representation. The marketplace is intended to support long-term commercial relationships.

The Pythia product combines official race data, odds, risk-control tools, live streaming and the related media rights. Operators can choose between an API, which lets them build their own racing betting interface, and an iFrame that provides a ready-to-use racebook. Both options include a back office for product configuration and real-time monitoring of bets.

Availability of races and audiovisual content remains subject to authorisation from rights holders and to the access conditions set in each market. The platform is aimed at international operators of different sizes, both those introducing horse and greyhound betting into their sportsbook for the first time and those seeking to improve an existing product or outsource its management to a single supplier.

On bet types, the solution allows operators to offer win bets, each-way bets, place bets, forecasts and tricasts, plus a bet builder for customised bets. Race cards include information on runners' form, jockey silks and editorial comments on the events. An operations and trading team is available around the clock to assist operators with managing the racebook and related activities.

Stephen Davison, Head of Commercial Operations at Pythia Sports, said operators approach racing betting with different needs: some already have their own interface and want an API, while others prefer a ready-made racebook. In both cases, he said, they can rely on a single agreement covering data, pricing, streaming and rights, with support from a trading team specialised in racing. Davison also said NYCE gives Pythia a direct link to operators considering these options, and that Pythia is pleased to start the partnership.

Alex Crockford, Chief Commercial Officer at NYCE International, said that when operators ask about horse racing betting, their first questions generally concern trading: who sets the odds, who manages risk and how the product integrates into the sportsbook. He said Pythia addresses all three through a fully managed solution and a dedicated team, making commercial comparison with operators simpler.
