Prediction Markets coalition alleges coordination between Maryland and casino lobby

Regulation

The Coalition for Prediction Markets alleged that Maryland gaming officials and casino lobby groups coordinated efforts to oppose event contracts, citing similarities between a regulator-authored letter and a draft it said the American Gaming Association supplied. Prediction-market operators face ongoing disputes over event contracts, including state opposition and a temporary Michigan bar.
