In brief

  • Polymarket said Chainlink is now official oracle for its high-speed up/down markets.
  • Polymarket launched 15-minute gold and silver markets, extending beyond crypto.
  • Chainlink has powered more than $11bn in volume on Polymarket's crypto price markets.

On 29 October 2026, Polymarket announced that Chainlink would serve as the official oracle for its high-speed up/down markets, building on a partnership the companies already had. The platform also made 15-minute gold and silver markets live, moving past crypto into equities, commodities and forex.

According to Polymarket, Chainlink has powered more than $11bn in trading volume around its five- and 15-minute crypto price markets. The company said Chainlink provides pricing through Data Streams and the Chainlink Runtime Environment, and that its market makers and algorithmic traders can access the same low-latency data through self-serve access.

Neal Kumar, Polymarket's chief legal officer, said the platform's traders are among the most connected anywhere, and that with Chainlink around the clock they can hold positions across a widening set of equity, commodity and FX markets whenever they choose. Kumar added that Chainlink supplies dependable, fast data for launching markets at scale and gives users confidence in accurate resolution. Johann Eid, chief business officer at Chainlink Labs, said the firm's fast pricing data lets Polymarket settle these markets as accurately and efficiently as its users expect.

In its own description, Polymarket is a worldwide prediction market venue on which people trade on what happens in real-world events. Its US arm, the company says, is a designated contract market regulated by the CFTC under the Commodity Exchange Act.
