PlayCity revokes Patriot’s Ukrainian state lottery licence

Enforcement & compliance

Ukraine’s PlayCity revoked Patriot’s state lottery licence over concerns about its ultimate beneficial owner, according to the report. Patriot said it would challenge the decision, disputed the information used and maintained that its ownership complied with the law. The report said the operator must stop sales of unsold lottery tickets and may appeal to the Expert and Appeals Council on Licensing or seek an administrative court ruling.

The revocation removes Patriot from the legal lottery market unless an appeal or court challenge changes the outcome.
