Cambodian commission revokes Roxy Hotel & Casino licence in Bavet

Cambodia’s Commercial Gambling Management Commission revoked the Roxy Hotel & Casino’s licence after authorities linked the property to alleged online fraud activity. A 21 May inspection led to the detention of 25 Chinese nationals and the seizure of equipment; the commission has asked the Financial Intelligence Unit for account information as authorities consider further legal action.

The licence revocation removes the casino’s authority to operate while authorities consider further legal action.
