Ukraine’s PlayCity said all three incumbent lottery operators applied for licences in a tender whose deadline expired on 29 December. PlayCity head Hennadiy Novikov said licences will cover the period of martial law plus one year, capped at three years, rather than the usual 10-year term.
Applicants must plan for a shorter licence term and meet nationwide retail and operational requirements.

Finland’s National Police Board approved licence applications from Nordplay Group, 7bet and SkillOnNet, reportedly enabling them to enter the regulated iGaming market from 1 July 2027. The approvals make the three companies the latest prospective entrants, alongside four operators identified as already approved.
