Philippine operators report mixed Q1 results amid rising compliance costs
A report by Diego Cruz for Arden Consult reviewed listed Philippine online gaming companies’ first-quarter 2026 results after e-wallet access points were delinked in August 2025. It said tighter compliance requirements and higher operating costs also weighed on the sector, while results differed between companies. PAGCOR reported that online gaming transactions fell by about 50% after the change.
Operators and investors face uneven results alongside higher compliance costs and reduced access through e-wallet apps.
