Origen Extremadura, SA has reportedly agreed a new collective agreement for staff at the Badajoz casino that runs until 31 December 2028. The agreement reportedly provides for a 3% rise on base salary in 2027 and a further 3% in 2028.

Base pay for 2026 is reportedly €26,530 a year for game supervisors, €20,000 for first-grade game technicians, €18,741 for game technicians and €17,200 for trainees. The yearly sums are reportedly split into twelve prorated monthly payments.

The agreement reportedly fixes annual working time at 1,792 hours, with two consecutive weekly rest days and 30 calendar days of holiday. A specific rule reportedly governs opening the casino on 24 December, which needs enough volunteer staff and a written agreement on the schedule with the works council. Under that rule on 24 December, hours worked are reportedly paid with a 175% surcharge on the ordinary hourly base salary.

Work done at night, between 22:00 and 7:00, reportedly earns an extra two euros per hour in 2026, increasing to 2.10 euros in 2027 and 2028. On tips, the text reportedly directs 45% of the amount collected to supervisors and game technicians, and gives trainees a specific share. The agreement also reportedly creates a monthly incentive tied to objectives, which depends on the casino posting positive EBITDA and meeting budget requirements. Depending on how fully expected revenue is achieved, the incentive reportedly ranges from 50 to 150 euros.

The company reportedly takes out accident insurance covering €29,448.74 for death or absolute disability and €27,351.20 for total permanent disability. The agreement reportedly also provides €176.41 for marriage or registration as a domestic partnership and €200 for the birth of a child. On equality, it reportedly includes non-discrimination commitments and protocols against moral and sexual harassment and harassment based on gender identity. It also reportedly regulates the use of video surveillance for labour and disciplinary control, while expressly banning recording in changing rooms, toilets, dining areas and rest areas.
