Opinion Labs, which operates the Opinion Trade prediction market, raised $20 million in a pre-Series A round, the company said. Decasonic, Hack VC, Jump Crypto and Primitive Ventures were among the investors; the platform is unavailable in the US and China.
The funding gives Opinion Labs new capital as it competes in prediction markets outside the US and China.

The Office for Health Improvement and Disparities awarded more than £9.4m to gambling harms organisations in the UK, according to a report. Recipients include Gambling with Lives, Gamban, GamLearn, Chapter One and Beacon Counselling Trust; the funding page puts total provision through 2028 at £39.7m.

Gamban said it has returned its gambling-blocking service to free access in England after receiving funding approved by the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities. The company said it had previously switched to subscriptions and had already restored free service in Wales earlier in the year.
Gamban has announced that its service in England will be free again, after it did the same in Wales earlier in the year. The company reversed the change following funding approved by the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID).
Sands China completed a US$1bn private offering of senior unsecured notes on Tuesday, according to filings by parent Las Vegas Sands. The issue comprises US$700m of 6.400% notes due in 2032 and US$300m of 6.700% notes due in 2033. The company said it intends to use proceeds and cash on hand to redeem US$700m of notes due in 2027, repay its revolving facility and fund general corporate purposes, including capital expenditure.
PhilWeb completed the sale of nearly 61.04 million treasury shares to JKS Tech Solutions for just over PHP1.01bn, at PHP16.50 per share. The transaction, completed on 30 October, forms part of a wider cross-investment arrangement; PhilWeb said the sale proceeds would partly fund its investment in JKS Tech.
PhilWeb Corp said it has completed the sale of nearly 61.04 million treasury common shares to JKS Tech Solutions Inc for just over PHP1.01bn (US$15.9m). In a filing, PhilWeb said this exercise was completed on 30 October and priced the shares at PHP16.50 each. The sale falls under a cross-equity deal that was first announced in September.
Gaming Corps shareholders approved a directed issue of 12,860,078 shares to nine named subscribers at SEK0.65 per share, following a proposal from shareholders holding about 30% of the company. They rejected a separate proposed issue of 3,604,283 shares to Svea Bank to offset its remaining claim against the company.
