Oklahoma lawmakers send sweepstakes-gambling bill to governor
Oklahoma lawmakers approved Senate Bill 1589 and sent it to Governor Kevin Stitt for consideration after the House passed it 65–21; the Senate had approved it unanimously. The bill would cover online casino-style games and dual-currency systems, extend liability to supporting providers and classify violations as a Class C2 felony; it would take effect on 1 November 2026 if enacted.
The proposed law would extend Oklahoma gambling-law exposure to suppliers and other services supporting covered sweepstakes platforms.
