The Office of Health Improvement and Disparities published the 2026–2028 harm-prevention awards on 8 April, according to a report. The allocation distributed about £25.4m through 33 grants, around 30% of statutory levy proceeds; treatment and research will receive the remaining 70%.

FanDuel has expanded its partnership with Kindbridge Behavioral Health to add assessments, education and treatment resources to its responsible gaming programme. FanDuel said more than 6,000 customers completed a voluntary survey in March 2026; the expanded arrangement also offers a complimentary mental health assessment when customers self-exclude.
Greece's Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC) said the BetBlocker app, a free and anonymous gambling-blocking tool run by an international non-profit, is now available in Greek. The regulator said the translation improves access to self-protection tools for Greek-speaking users who want to limit or stop access to gambling sites and services.
Casino Guru Academy has launched a free online course on self-exclusion practices for iGaming operators, developed with input from BetBlocker International. The training includes a 30-day implementation guide and draws on a 2025 code of practice, the company said.
The Kansspelautoriteit withdrew its provisional award of a Dutch tender to BetBlocker, which confirmed the decision and said a new award decision would follow verification. BetBlocker said Gamban had challenged verification of its bid; the regulator declined to comment while the procedure remained ongoing, and the timing and outcome of the next decision were unknown.
The Netherlands Gambling Authority (KSA) invalidated the bids from BetBlocker and Gamban for a contract to provide free gambling-blocking software, according to the report. The KSA withdrew its provisional award to BetBlocker after Gamban filed a legal objection; the regulator said it has not decided whether to rerun the tender. The proposed contract would run for three years, with two possible 24-month extensions.
