Octoplay founder Carl Ejlertsson announced that he will leave the chief executive role and remain with the company in a strategic and creative capacity. The company will appoint Ralitsa Georgieva as CEO; Ejlertsson also announced appointments or promotions for four other leadership roles.

Octoplay and Entain are preparing to expand their casino-games partnership into five additional markets, including Alberta, where launch is expected next week. The companies have already launched in the UK, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Denmark and Georgia, while launches in Spain, Brazil, Italy and Greece remain in preparation. Octoplay also said two bespoke projects for Entain are in development.

Octoplay also said it had received conditional licence approval from Alberta’s AGLC, allowing it to supply its portfolio to operators when the market opens.
Octoplay has launched its online casino content with StarCasinò in Italy, extending its distribution through Betsson Group’s brand. Octoplay said the agreement is its third major operator partnership in the Italian market in recent months.

BetMGM and Octoplay have launched the first Elvis Presley-branded slot at BetMGM Casino in New Jersey, Michigan and Ontario. Octoplay holds rights to develop and distribute the games for BetMGM in the United States and Canada, and a second title is scheduled for summer 2026.
