South Africa’s National Gambling Board (NGB) issued an erratum to its expression of interest for a solution to monitor, track, block and report illegal online gambling websites. The available notice text does not state what the erratum changes.

It was reported that Polymarket challenged ANJ’s website blocking in France. The dispute concerns whether its event contracts are financial instruments or unauthorised gambling.
Coljuegos said it issued 46,228 blocking orders against websites offering unauthorised betting since the current government took office in 2022. The regulator reported 55,658 such requests over its entire history, with 83% issued during that period. Coljuegos said it worked with the Ministry of ICT to streamline blocking with internet service providers.
The UKGC outlined its approach to illegal gambling data in an update dated 21 April 2026. It said website traffic estimates indicate trends but carry margins of error and miss other access routes. The regulator said it was developing additional data points and cautioned against relying on a single source.

The regulator said web traffic estimates are subject to margins of error and are more useful for showing trends than absolute volumes of traffic. It also said consumers can reach illegal gambling through other routes that the data does not capture, and cautioned against treating any single source as definitive.
The Scottish Border Council reportedly corrected website listings displaying illegal gambling links after the BBC alerted it. The coverage said the issue affected 16 of 69 community council listings and linked it to an outdated backlog system.
Brazil’s government said it referred 10,435 illegal betting sites for blocking between 25 September and 1 October, through the Justice Ministry’s Ciberlab/Senasp and the Finance Ministry’s SPA. The government said Anatel received the blocking requests and that the count had more than doubled from 5,209 reported on 29 September. Separately, Finance Minister Dario Durigan said daily betting transactions of about R$600 million stopped after the measure prohibiting fixed-odds betting took effect.
