New Zealand sets online casino ad rules without an advertising-volume cap

Licences & markets

New Zealand’s new online casino advertising regulations restrict who may appear in adverts and when they may run, but do not limit advertising frequency, according to the report. The rules will take effect when the first licences are issued; the licensing process is expected to begin with an expression-of-interest stage, and up to 15 operators may enter the market.

Licensed operators will face restrictions on advertising content and timing but no stated cap on how often they can advertise.

End-of-day close Entain (ENT), GBp, to 28 August 2026
