New Zealand DIA proposes certification rules as 15 online casino licences enter auction

Regulation

New Zealand’s Department of Internal Affairs published draft technology requirements as the licensing process advanced to a two-week auction that began on 29 September. The proposal would require licensees to obtain independent game and platform certification within six months of receiving a licence and at least annually afterwards.

Applicants would need to meet certification, testing and technology-disclosure requirements to qualify for New Zealand online casino licences.
